Even though I've been a huge football fan my whole life, I've only seen a handful of games in person. Build Credit
One of the most important things that you will ever need in life is good credit. Without good credit, making large purchases could be more of a challenge than you can imagine. Quite recently, my grandmother needed to get a new vehicle. Since it had been quite a few years since she’s had to purchase a car, even a used car was out of her price range. She needed to get a small loan in order to purchase the car. In the past, she and my grandfather had always paid cash for their vehicles and purchases. Their house had been paid off for many years, but it had been in my grandfather’s name. Much to her shock, she didn’t qualify for a car loan because of her credit score. Since she had always paid everything in cash, her credit score was a lot lower than it should have been. She had not had the opportunity to build credit because of always paying in cash.
A lot of young people who have not had time to build credit yet will often find themselves in the same situation. Without having any credit, a car loan will be difficult. Getting a house is incredibly challenging. If you’ve filed for bankruptcy and are starting over to build credit for yourself, it can be a challenge as well. Creditors need to know that you are going to be a good customer and will be able to repay your loans. They’ll be much more hesitant to give a loan or any type of credit to a customer who has little or no credit history.
And so, the journey to build credit begins. What can you do to prove yourself to a potential creditor? If you’ve never had a credit card, apply for one or two. Perhaps your bank will allow you to apply for one through their institution. Having a credit card is one of the best ways to build credit. Even if you aren’t using your credit card, it will show lenders that institutions have trusted you enough to extend credit to you, should the need arise to use it. Or, to help you build credit, make a few small purchases on the credit card each month. Pay it off when you receive the bill each month, in full. That way, you won’t have a balance and you’ll be able to build credit much faster. Make sure that you don’t make any late payments. Even paying a bill one day late can affect your credit score.

It seems that there are so many charitable
It seems that there are so many charitable causes that you cannot begin to give to all of them. My husband and I give to our church and the charities that it sponsors. That is the bulk of our cash donations. We also give to the food shelf and donate clothing and house hold items to the homeless and needy. It was not until my sister developed cancer that I thought about donating to medical research.
Eighteen months ago my sister called me to let me know that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. This came as a huge surprise to both of us because there is no history in our family. She is an x-ray technician so she is very aware of the importance of getting mammograms and she has been getting one every year since she was forty years old. It was during her annual mammogram that the lump showed up on the test. The doctors told her all of her options and shared with her that they thought she would be a good candidate for a new treatment. There have been many advancements in breast cancer research and they wanted to try a new chemotherapy on her. Since my sister is in the medical field she has always had an interest in new research. She was willing to try the treatments. If they did not work they would remove her breast. They explained that she would not be risking the cancer spreading because the type she had was slow to develop, and they felt that it was at a very early stage. The breast cancer research that developed the treatments they were to use on her was done at the Mayo Clinic.
I called our nephew who is a pharmaceutical researcher at the Mayo and asked him if he could find additional information about this particular breast cancer research. He told me that a friend of his was working on the breast cancer research team and he could find out what type of results they are getting with the patients that have been taking the treatments. He called me a few days later and shared that the results have been very good. He also thought that it was a plus for my sister that she was chosen for the treatments, because they are only taking candidates that have a good chance of responding to the treatments. The breast cancer research project has been working on this cure for over ten years, so they need to show great results to keep the project going.

Brain Teasers
There are lots of ways to pass time on a trip. Of course, there are conversations, card games, listening to music, and even having sing-alongs. But my favorite way to pass the time during those long miles is with brain teasers.
Usually, we will find some free printable brain teasers on the Internet before we go on a car trip. There are all kinds of online puzzles and games available that you can either print out or play on your computer. The kids especially love them, and it is easy to find one to the right level of difficulty. Most of them are simple logic puzzles that, with a little bit of diligent work, can be quite easily resolved. Finding hard brain teasers is, of course, a little bit difficult, but it can be done.
Sudoku puzzles are a great form of brainteaser. Sudokus are basically a type of logic puzzle that has become very popular in recent years. They are different rows and columns of numbers that you have to get to match up in just the right way. The only way to do it is through trial and error. You look at the pattern, try to find numbers that match it, And work through it until you find the right combination.
Of course, one of the most classic brain teasers is the crossword puzzle. Papers all over the world have crossword puzzles, but my favorite one is in the New York Times Sunday edition. New York Times puzzles get harder and harder as the week goes on, and the Sunday New York Times always has the most difficult puzzle. The world hasn't seen anything like Beatlemania. Every time, the Beatles took to the stage, they were greeted by screaming fans. They couldn't even hear themselves play. This, combined with some security scares and the endless traveling, persuaded the band to stop touring. Their last official live concert was the Beatles Candlestick Park performance in San Francisco in August 1966.
The 24,000 fans in the stadium that day, did not realise that they were witnessing an historical event. The Beatles had not announced their imminent retirement from live shows. Because of their inability to hear what they were playing on stage, the performances had become shorter and shorter. In fact, this last Beatles Candlestick Park concert only lasted, just over thirty minutes.
The park had opened in 1960 and was more used to sporting events. Today, it's the home ground for the NFL San Francisco 49ers. On that day in August, the stadium rang to the sound of some of the band's most popular songs. Their set included She's a Woman, Day Tripper, I Feel Fine and Yesterday. They also went back to their rock and roll roots and sang Long Tall Sally.
There is quite a bit of merchandise attached to the legendary gig. The band's publicity agent taped the concert on a cassette recorder and bootleg recordings of this are available. There is also a market in posters, advertising the Beatles Candlestick Park gig, and in tickets from the show.
It was thought, for a long time, that there wasn't any moving footage of the concert. This was until some footage turned up that was shot by a young American fan, who was present that day. Some of this was shown in a BBC television documentary. DVDs are now for sale with footage from the Beatles Candlestick Park event. If it had happened today, it probably would have been a carefully marketed event with the entire concert, captured for posterity.
The only occasion when The Beatles got together for a live performance after the Beatles Candlestick Park show was when they made an unannounced appearance on top of a London rooftop. This was filmed for the Let It Be film. It was an exciting journey from the damp cellar of the Cavern club in Liverpool to Candlestick Park. They were the first band to perform in sports stadiums but it's commonplace now.
